Here is a simple strumming pattern that you can use for the verses to The Beatles' "Norwegian Wood". It is four measures long and I am playing it four times (slowly). Hope this helps!
Here's a great strumming pattern for Boulevard of Broken Dreams by Green Day. This pattern is in Four Four time. The count goes like this: one two and a three four and a The version of this song I use in class comes from the American Idiot broadway play. You can find it here:
Here's a great "Campfire" strum for Pink Floyd's Wish You Were Here. D D U U D D U U D = Down U = Up Here is a video of the melody. You can play this for the intro to the song and you can play it as the interlude between the verses. I'll add another video soon with the chord strums between the melody notes. And here's a video adding one simple strum on beat two of each measure.
Here is a beautiful song by Israel Kamakawiwo'ole called White Sandy Beach. This is a shortened version arranged for two ukulele's - melody and rhythm. If you want to play the melody and rhythm at the same time, look no further than the intro. The melody to the verses is woven through the chords in the intro. Aloha!
